TaskManager's AI Productivity Tool

TaskManager is an AI powered productivity platform built to help individuals and teams stay aligned, organized, and focused on what matters most. As the design lead working directly with the founders, I shaped the product vision, refined the core workflows, and designed the full app experience across mobile and desktop. The goal was to simplify the complexity of daily work and give users a smarter, more intuitive way to plan, track, and complete tasks. The challenge was to balance intelligence and usability without overwhelming the user. The result is a clean and modern interface that feels familiar at first glance but reveals deeper value as the user interacts with it. — The Problem Task planning tools often fall into two extremes. They are either too simple and offer little structure or too rigid and create more work than they save. Users want clarity, but they also want flexibility and intelligence. The existing tools did not adapt to different working styles and made collaboration harder instead of easier. Teams also needed a better way to align around priorities, dependencies, and ownership without endless back and forth. — The Direction Working closely with the founders, I translated a broad product vision into a clear set of priorities: • Make the app easy to adopt and effortless to use • Introduce AI in a way that feels supportive, not intrusive • Create a visual system that helps users focus • Design a structure that works for individuals and teams We explored how the product could automate repetitive actions, highlight important changes, and help users stay ahead of deadlines. — Design I redesigned the experience around clarity and flow. Every screen was shaped to reduce friction and guide users into action. Key parts of the solution included: • A clean task view with smart grouping and prioritization • Contextual AI suggestions that feel natural within the workflow • A redesigned task creation flow that helps users stay organized • Clear progress indicators and visibility across teams • A consistent UI system that works across mobile and desktop The result is an interface that feels simple but scales to complex needs without added effort. I collaborated weekly with engineering to refine interactions, validate small details, and support smooth implementation. Our design system evolved quickly to maintain cohesiveness and speed. — Impact The redesigned experience helped teams work more effectively, reduced time spent on repetitive manual steps, and improved overall adoption. Users felt more in control of their day and more confident navigating their priorities. For founders, the product gained clarity, structure, and the strong foundation needed to scale. TaskManager became more than a to do list. It became a system that supports focus, collaboration, and meaningful progress.
