WindowsWear's Social Platform

WindowsWear is a global hub for fashion inspiration, retail trends, and visual merchandising. As the lead designer, I built a social platform that helped creators, brands, and industry professionals connect, share work, and discover trends in real time. The goal was to elevate the visual experience and turn a large library of content into an interactive community. — User Problem Creatives loved WindowWear’s catalog of displays, campaigns, and retail inspiration, but the experience was static and difficult to navigate. Users wanted a way to curate inspirations, build moodboards, follow others, and share their own work in a simple, intuitive environment. — Business Problem WindowsWear needed to move beyond being only a visual archive. The company wanted to unlock engagement, extend time spent on the platform, and create a scalable foundation for a community of fashion professionals and brand partners. The old interface was not built for social interactions or modern content workflows. — Goal Transform WindowsWear from a static gallery into a dynamic social platform that supports discovery, interaction, and creative collaboration. — Define I worked closely with the founders to map the ecosystem. We analyzed existing user behaviors, industry standards, and the needs of both creators and enterprise clients. Key insights: • Creatives needed more interactive tools • Search and filtering lacked depth and speed • The experience did not reflect the visual taste of fashion audiences • Brands wanted stronger storytelling and better ways to showcase work — The Solution I redesigned the platform with a clean, editorial approach and a clear set of interactive features. Main upgrades: • A modern profile system where users can upload and organize their work • A refreshed home feed with better categorization and visual hierarchy • Moodboard creation tools that make curation feel fast and enjoyable • Improved search and discovery to help users find relevant imagery • A content upload flow designed around speed and clarity • Cleaner typography and more expressive layouts that elevate the brand The result was a platform that felt more alive, more dynamic, and more aligned with the speed and aesthetics of the fashion world. — Results The redesign increased user activity and time on the platform. Uploads became more frequent and the improved search helped users navigate thousands of images with ease. The new visual system strengthened brand identity and positioned WindowsWear as a more modern, community-driven product.
